Ten Commandments

This "prayer" is only present in the Geneva edition of the Cinquante Pseaumes, replacing the earlier version of the Decalogue, present in Strasbourg 1539 ("Oyons la loy", using the melody of "Dies sind die heilgen zehen Gebot") and the Genevan hymnbook of 1542 (same text, different melody). The text is often ascribed to John Calvin (entirely hypothetical).
In Marot's version the biblical text is nicely condensed and rhetorically introduced by an introductory prayer (peculiar intertext with the eucharist prayer: "sursum corda", and straightforward intertext with Psalm 95). The construct of the Latin incipit on the other hand refers to the Jewish Creed: "Shema Israel"..., by the way: very appropriate. It is concluded with a laudatory verse which at the same time asks for God's grace to obey the law (very "reformed").

Les Commandements de Dieu

Exode XX

Audi Israel

L o Dieu t'a voulu loger.

D'estre meurtrier ne te hazarde,

Metz toute paillardise au loing,

Ne soys larron, donne t'en garde,

Ne soys menteur, ne faulx tesmoing.

De couvoyter point ne t'advienne

La maison, et femme d'aultruy,

Son servant, ne la beste sienne,

N'aulcune chose estant luy.

O Dieu, ton parler d'efficace

Sonne plus clair que fin alloy.

En noz cueurs imprime la grce

De t'obeyr selon ta Loy.

Fin des Commandements de Dieu.
